  • Livongo Health, a cloud-connected glucose meter, and an online coaching program to manage diabetes, has raised $44.5M in Series C round, led by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Cowen Private Investments, Sapphire Ventures, Zaffre Investments, and Wanxiang America Corporation. Link
  • Livongo Health has also raised a strategic investment worth of $5M from Humana to support the company’s growth. Link
  • 1mg, O2O delivering prescription and OTC and marketplace for booking diagnostic test, has raised $16M in a round led by Maverick Capital Ventures, with participation from Sequoia India and Omidyar Network. Link
  • Naya Health, a smart breast pump that tracks mother’s milk production pattern and parenting app, has raised $4 million in seed funding from Tandem Capital, S-Cubed Capital, NewGen Partners, Astia Angels, and Stanford’s StartX. Link
  • DocsApp, a medical consultation app, raised $1.2m in seed round led by Rebright Partners, and angel investors Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan. Link
  • Parasail Health, an online lending platform for patients to finance the cost of their deductibles and other out-of-pocket medical expenses, closed a seed funding round of undisclosed amount. Link
  • Heritage Group has closed its second innovation fund with 15 healthcare organizations as limited partners. Link
  • Zocdoc, an online appointment booking portal with doctors for patients, is connecting its online scheduling platform with Epic via API. Link
  • Health Tap, a tech-enabled Q&A and video consultation platform for patients and doctors, creates chat bot for Facebook’s Messenger app. Link
  • Amino, an appointment booking service that uses claims data to help consumers choose a doctor, has got access to Medicare claims data and has been certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to create new healthcare quality measures focused on the healthcare consumer experience. Link
  • Beam Technologies, a connected toothbrush company, has launched SmartPremiums, its dental insurance plan, in California. Link
  • Akili Interactive Labs will soon launch a clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of its video game intervention for children with ADHD. Link
  • The market for mobile personal emergency response systems (PERS), will grow at a CAGR of 40% and will reach 3.4 million by 2021, according to a report from Berg Insight. Link
