  • Heal, an app-based physician house call service, has raised $27M is Series A and $15M in Series B over a period of two months. Investors include Thomas Tull of Tull Investment Group, Breyer Capital, HashtagOne, Slow Ventures, and Fidelity Management and Research Company. Link
  • Habit, a data-driven personalized nutrition service, has raised $32M in an investment from Campbell’s Soup. Link
  • uBiome, developer of a direct-to-consumer microbial genomic testing kit, has closed a $22M Series B funding round, led by 8VC with additional funding from Slow Ventures, Stanford’s StartX Fund and various angel investors. Link
  • Propeller Health, a developer of digital solution for respiratory medicine, has raised $21.5M in Series C round led by 3M Ventures, SR One, Hikma Ventures, Safeguard Scientifics, and Social Capital. Link
  • Clue, the developer of an app that tracks a woman’s menstrual cycle through machine learning, has raised $20M in Series B funding in a round led by Nokia Growth Partners, Union Square Ventures, Mosaic Ventures, and others. Link
  • Vida Health, a digital health coaching startup, has raised $18M in Series B funding in a round led by Canvas Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners, and Aspect Ventures. Link
  • Everyday Health, an online health information portal, has been acquired by j2 Global’s Ziff Davis, a digital media company in the technology, gaming and lifestyle categories, for $10.50 per share in cash, representing an approximate enterprise value of $465M. Link
  • RespondWell, a digital health company focused on gamified home-based physical therapy tools, has been acquired by Zimmer Biomet Holdings, a musculoskeletal healthcare-focused medical device company, for an undisclosed amount. Link
  • Third Rock Ventures closes $616M healthcare fund. Link
  • The FDA has entered into the federal register a new draft guidance pertaining to “software as a medical device” (SaMD). Link
