- IDbyDNA, a precision medicine company offering DNA search engine to identify pathogens for infectious disease identification has raised $9 million in Series A financing round lead by ARTIS Ventures, with additional investments from ARUP Laboratories and other private investors. Link
- Science 37, a technology-enabled clinical research company which offers mobile applications that allow patients to participate in trials and expand clinical trial access has raised $31 million Series B financing led by Redmile Group, with further funding from Series A lead investors Lux Capital and dRx Capital, as well as a strategic investment from Sanofi Genzyme BioVentures. - Benchling, a biotech company which offers IT software solutions for life sciences research and collaboration has raised $7 million in growth funding round led by Thrice Capital and was joined by Andreessen Horowitz and a number of angel investors, including Y Combinator partner Geoff Ralston, Sequoia partner Matt Huang and CXO of Tencent David Wallerstein. - Complion, a developer and provider of software solutions for clinical trial regulatory documentation has raised $2.9 million in Series A funding by JumpStart from its NEXT fund. Link
- Cyclica, an in silico drug discovery company that offers a predictive analytics platform for drug discovery has raised $2.4 million in Series A1 financing round led by GreenSky through the GreenSky Accelerator Fund I, LP, with additional investment from China Canada Angel Alliance, and the family of Mr. Anthony Griffiths. - Ranomics which is building a database of rare genetic variants using wet lab experimental pipeline to map all genetic variants and catalogs the functionality of each variant using data modelling and statistical analysis has raised $1.2 million in Seed funding. Link
- Immortagen which develops AI-based NGS solutions for cancer diagnostics has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A equity financing round. It previously received funding from the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the University of Iowa GAP Commercialization Fund. Link

- PierianDx, a company operating in field of clinical genomic analysis, interpretation and reporting, has acquired Tute Genomics, a genomics software company offering solutions for precision and genome guided medicine. Link
- Instem, a provider of IT solutions for healthcare market has acquired Notocord which provides software solutions for data acquisition and analysis in preclinical studies and is a recognized leader in cardiovascular, respiratory, electrophysiology and nervous system research areas. The acquisition is a part of Instem’s mission to consolidate and harmonize key application areas that are helping customers streamline their research and development processes. Link

Drug Dosing Predictions (2016, Lyon) – Offers online tool that uses an in-vivo static mechanistic model to predict the pharmacokinetic interactions mediated by P450 cytochromes with substrates and inhibitors/inducers, and evaluate the impact of polymorphism and cirrhosis data monitoring and source data verification for clinical trials.
