RECENT NOTABLE ACTIVITY – TELEMEDICINE
- Specialists On Call, a provider of clinical telemedicine services to acute care hospitals, raised $50M in Series G round of funding from CRG, a healthcare focussed investment firm. Link
- Curology, a telemedicine platform to consult a dermatologist, raised $15M in Series B round of funding led by Advance Vixeid Partners and joined by Sherpa Capital and Forerunner Ventures. Link
- HaloDoc, an online platform to consult with doctors through video calls, voice calls and chat, raised $13M in Series A round of funding led by Clermont Group. Link
- StatRad, which offers teleradiology service to the providers, raised $13 million equity investment from an undisclosed institutional partner. Link
- Kry, a telemedicine company that allows patients to take video consultation with the doctors, closed a Seed funding round of $7M led by Index Ventures and Creandum. Link
- Doctor Insta, a telemedicine platform for remote health consultation via video conferencing raised over $1M in Series A round of funding led by Round Glass Partners. Link
- MedWand, a telemedicine device startup, raised Series A funding round led by Maxim Ventures. Link
- Glooko, a diabetes management solution for patients, health systems, and payer groups completed a merger with Diasend and raised $8M. Link
- FasPsych, a telepsychiatry services provider, got acquired by Pharos Capital. Link
- LoveDoctor, an online platform to get chat-based consultation on sexual health and relationships anonymously, got acquired by Sheroes for an undisclosed amount. Link

SOME INTERESTING STARTUPS FOUND
Physician 360 (2015, Dallas) – Physician360 provides an in-home rapid strep and flu test, and accompanying telemedicine service powered by diagnostic algorithms and physicians. The product has accompanying software powered by diagnostic algorithms, which according to the company, in retrospective studies were more accurate in diagnosing strep throat than an actual physician.
